Q. What can I donate?

Q. How does our program work?
A. When you donate your vehicle to us, you choose the charity. 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of donated vehicle are sent to your qualified charity. We deduct the cost of marketing, towing, repairing/prepping and the cost/expenses of the sales process. Your vehicle may also qualify for our UP TO 50% CASH BACK PROGRAM. Q. What documents do I need in order to donate a vehicle?
A.  All you need is the clear title or other DMV paperwork (registration, etc) in order to prove ownership. If you have any questions regarding paperwork, please call us at

Q. Is my donation tax deductible?
A. PCC is 501(c)(3) non-profit (charity) organization. Donations to charities, classified under 501(c)(3), are tax deductible, allowing you a car donation tax brake. We recommend consulting your tax professional to determine how you will benefit.

Q. What charities can I choose?
A. You can choose any charity, including:
    -local or nationwide non-profit organizations
    -religious institutions-churches, synagogues etc
    -schools
    -hospitals & med research groups
    -pets rescue
    -national disaster relief efforts (Link - charities)

 

Q. With the New Tax Law how do I determine the value of my donation for Tax Write-Off Purposes?
A. According to the American Jobs Creation Act and to the IRS Code Sec. 170(a), the new rules apply to the donation of vehicles with:

Claimed value exceeding $500.00
- the maximum deduction taxpayer will be allowed may not exceed gross sale proceeds received from the sale of the vehicle by the donee organization. PCC will send you a written acknowledgement, which will include sale price of the vehicle and your Social Security Number. The taxpayer must attach a written acknowledgement with their tax return.
Claimed value less then $500.00
- no written acknowledgement of donation from charitable organization is required.

Q. How will the car be picked up?
A. Towing is absolutely free. At the time of the pick up donor should provide the towing driver with the title (DMV paperwork) and keys. The towing driver will provide you with the donation receipt for your records. The donor can also schedule an appointment to bring the vehicle to our location.
